Sensei Shannon Alderson 4th Dan (Renshi) Goju-Ryu Karate
Sensei Alderson was born & raised in Miami, FL. He began his martial arts jouney in the art of USA Go Ju Ryu at the age of eight. At the age of nineteen, he was able to begin his studies with Dr. J.M. Gallego Kaicho (Judan - 10th Dan-Sekai Seito Goju-Ryu Karate-Do Kyokai). Sensei Gallego's training methods focused primarily on the classical roots of Go Ju Ryu which created a solid foundation for not only his students' minds and bodies, but also their spirit & resolve in the pursuit for perfection of the hard & soft aspects of Go Ju Ryu. Sensei Alderson has won and placed in many traditional and open Karate tournaments in his martial arts journey. With many years of intense training, study, and instructing, Sensei Shannon Alderson has received his Renshi Rank (4th degree Black) in Sekai Seito Go-Ju-Ryu Karate Do Kyokai, and has moved to Arkansas to spread the teachings of Sensei JM Gallego.
